Sal Castro Middle School 8th graders participated in our annual Washington D.C. Field Trip focused on inspiring and challenging their learning. This once-in-a-lifetime adventure allowed students to explore our nation's most important historical sites and experience incomparable learning moments. The students spent five days in our nation's capital standing where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his "I Have A Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial, discovering the true meaning of sacrifice at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and exploring the Holocaust Museum and Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. The trip enriched the students' learning by allowing them to journey through Arlington Cemetery, watching history come to life in Ford's Theater and paying respects to our nation's leaders at a number of national memorials. This incredible opportunity was sure to leave a lasting impact on our students for years to come!Uploaded Apr 20, 2017
